AusWide Immigration (MARN 2619475) is a registered migration agency located at Punchbowl, NSW 2196, Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to AusWide Immigration.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and country of residence.
  • Enquiry content: the information you provide in a contact form, email, phone call or WhatsApp message.
  • Migration information: where you engage us, this may include passport and identity documents, visa history, qualifications, employment history, relationship and family details, health and character information, and financial information.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected automatically when you use this website.

Some of the information we collect in the course of a migration matter is sensitive information under the Privacy Act. We collect it only where it is reasonably necessary for the services you have asked us to provide, and with your consent.

  • To prepare, lodge and manage visa and related applications on your behalf
  • To communicate with you about your matter
  • To meet our record-keeping obligations under the Migration Agents Code of Conduct
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations
  • Where you have opted in, to send you occasional migration updates

4. Who we disclose it to

We may disclose your personal information to:

  • The Department of Home Affairs and the Administrative Review Tribunal
  • Skills assessing authorities, English testing providers and state or territory nominating bodies
  • Panel physicians and health service providers for visa medical requirements
  • Translators, and other service providers engaged in connection with your matter
  • The Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority, where required
  • Other parties where you have consented, or where we are required or authorised by law

Where a disclosure involves sending information overseas, for example, to an overseas post of the Department of Home Affairs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it appropriately.

5. How we store and protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes restricted access to files, password protection, and secure disposal of records that are no longer required.

We retain client records for the period required by the Migration Agents Code of Conduct and applicable law, after which they are securely destroyed or de-identified.
